How Solar Works (it really is this simple!)

Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Panels convert the sun’s energy into DC power. (Solar Panels are usually mounted on your roof in a south-facing direction.)

The inverter converts the DC power generated by the solar panels into the AC electricity you use in your home or business.

The inverter is tied into the utility company so that at night you are still able to have electricity for your use and during the day, when you produce more power than you consume, you are selling that electricity back to the utility.
